Steve is British, and moved to Switzerland in 1991, to work for Sandoz, after studying Computer Science at the University of York<\/a>, England. He changed jobs in 1999, moving to COMIT<\/a>, a software company which mainly does project work for Swiss banks and insurance companies.<\/p>\n Mary-Anne is Swiss. She trained as a nurse, then as a clerk, and graduated from the Institut f\u00fcr Gemeindebau und Weltmission<\/a> (Institute for Church Growth and World Mission) in 2004. She preaches occasionally in German and Swiss churches.<\/p>\n We met and married in 1992 while attending the International Christian Fellowship in Basel (now part of Oikos International Church<\/a>). In 1995, we joined the newly-started Basileia Vineyard Basel<\/a>, where we remained until late 1999, at which time we decided to focus on starting house churches<\/a> in our area, having been ‘infected’ with the house church bug by Wolfgang Simson<\/a>. We have been involved in FocuSuisse<\/a>, the Swiss interpretation of the DAWN<\/a> work, since the mid 1990s.
