They have a large house (for Europeans, at least!) surrounded by trees, with a lake nearby.<br clear=\"left\"\/><!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bufton.net\/gallery\/usa-2005-east-coast-connecticut\/pict2463\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bufton.net\/gallery\/albums\/usa-2005-east-coast-connecticut\/pict2463.thumb.jpg\" alt=\"Wild turkeys in the garden\" title=\"Wild turkeys in the garden\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"2\" vspace=\"2\"\/><\/a>Wild turkeys regularly wander through the garden, as well as the occasional deer, which comes to eat their trees. We also saw chipmunks and some Northern Cardinals&nbsp;&#8211; reddish orange birds around the size of blackbirds.<br \/>\nThe day after I arrived, Pete&#8217;s parents came to stay, to help after the birth of B\u00f6hnli, the new baby. By the time we left, he (or she?) had still not been born, apparently quite happy where he is. Christiane, though, has had enough of waiting&#8230; We had a great time chatting with Pete&#8217;s parents, hearing the stories of their travels and joking around.
